Riding holidays and Journeys

The riding holidays of the a.s.d. I Cavalli del Farma, are an important opportunity for discussion and sharing. They are dedicated exclusively to the practice of country riding and horse trekking, offering the chance to finally be able to fully explore and enjoy our beautiful territory. Some experience in horseback riding is necessary to take part, but those who decide to participate will immerse themselves in a timeless world where it is still the horses that take us on roads and trails. We prefer to make the association's horses available to participants, but there is always the possibility of arranging to participate with your own horse by contacting us in advance to discuss and organize your experience.

Horseback riding weekend

Entry level? Not only that!

While they are the recommended choice for those who want to try a taste of riding holiday or do not yet feel ready to tackle a full week, they are still a sensible choice, even for the experienced rider who does not have time or availability to participate in riding weeks. We organize different types depending on experience and personal choice. From the less strenuous horseback riding weekends including lessons and simple to easy rides to true mini-riding holidays with daily daisy-chain rides and outdoor picnics. We usually arrange arrivals for Thursday evening and departures for Sunday afternoon after lunch.

Every year we update our calendars, feel free to contact us for more information.

Weekly Horseback Riding Vacations

Our riding weeks are also designed to meet the needs of riders of different levels and with different ambitions. They definitely need more riding experience and familiarity in handling the horse than previous weekends, and we organize two types. The first is a real riding holiday weekly one, dedicated to the enjoyment of this discipline, nature but also to increasing one's personal experience, consisting mainly of daily rides with picnics in the open air. Another, slightly more challenging and adventurous than the first, includes a small three-day itinerant trek with moving for two nights to a different facility, and returning.

Both represent a first level of involvement in a riding holiday, who knows that someday it may evolve into participation in an actual riding journey. In addition, this is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with other enthusiasts of this discipline and enjoy some quality time among horses and the unspoiled nature of Southern Tuscany.

In fact, each day we set out to discover a new trail and a new jewel locked in the treasure chest of our land.

Normally the activity takes place from Saturday to Saturday for six riding days.

Each year we prepare the new calendar, to give those who would like to participate the opportunity to make arrangements in advance. For information on accommodation or anything else, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Trekking or Horseback Riding Trips

To every Guide the word Trekking brings down a tear of emotion, affectionately awakens a dormant memory and the will to tell you with transport about countless funny or uplifting events.

Trekking means traveling on horseback.

Moving from place to place in the saddle, changing places of arrival and departure each day. Getting into the landscape, discovering it as it has been done for centuries, that is, accompanied by the sound of hooves at the pass. It is a unique experience. For some it remains so and is jealously preserved, while for others the need arises to repeat it, becoming an annual habit.

You can contact us to receive the most up-to-date schedule and find out how to get involved.

Our horseback riding trips are the activity for which we prepare and train throughout the year, and unfortunately we are not able to organize as many as we would like.

The schedule is weekly with arrival on Saturday afternoon, where we do the necessary introductions and briefing; Sunday is spent on a day ride with picnic outside to get comfortable with the horse we have been assigned; while Monday through Friday we ride, arriving at a different place each evening to rest. Clearly, good riding experience and an adventurous outlook is required (not too much mind you!).

Every year our proposal for horseback riding trips or treks comes out, where the dates are specified. We suggest you go and have a peek; for any information contact us!
